I design 0→1 products for high-stakes work.

I'm Catherine Grabar, a product designer with 12 years across Microsoft and Axon. I spent the last eight designing 0 to 1 products for work where mistakes are expensive: AI that reads body camera footage and fills in police reports, a notes app whose contents are legal evidence in court, and a warehouse system that tracks physical evidence so nothing breaks the chain of custody. Along the way I managed a small design team while staying the lead designer on the hardest problems, and that mix suits me; I like building the product and building the team at the same time. Right now I'm looking for the same kind of work in a new domain: complicated industries where the product genuinely improves someone's day.
